An environmental proposal for Saida would create an urban wetland beside the municipal garden, using a nature-based system to demonstrate how water can be treated and reused.
The project is designed as a living laboratory where residents, students and researchers could observe water quality, biodiversity and urban ecology in one public setting.
Its backers say the concept is being adapted to the Awali area and to Saida’s municipal context. This is an original Times of Sidon summary of the project profile published by AMWAJ Alliance.
